We are proud to announce that Samsung has joined the Eclipse Foundation. The Eclipse Foundation is the leading open source organization whose projects are focused on building an open development platform comprised of extensible frameworks, tools, and runtimes for building, deploying, and managing software across the lifecycle. In tandem with Eclipse’s mission, Samsung provides an open and interoperable platform for IoT development through the Samsung ARTIK Smart IoT Platform. Today, Samsung ARTIK shows our commitment to supporting open source development in a few ways:
- The Samsung ARTIK IDE: Based on Eclipse Che, it is the first IoT IDE built upon an open source IDE platform. To get started on developing with the Samsung ARTIK IDE powered by Eclipse Che, visit: http://www.eclipse.org/che/extend/artik/
- Samsung ARTIK leverages many projects sponsored by the Eclipse Foundation IoT Working Group, including Mosquitto, Paho, KURA, and Wakaama.
- Event participation: We joined the Eclipse Foundation at ThingMonk and we look forward to participating in more Eclipse-sponsored events!
The Eclipse Foundation and Samsung ARTIK are committed to a common goal — to help the developer community be more creative and productive with great tools. With this membership we look forward growing the ecosystem together.
About the Eclipse Foundation
