IoT has the spotlight at SDC 2016

This year’s Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) from April 27 – 28 promises to be two amazing days at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. ARTIK, along with partners like Canonical and Trustonic, will be there to showcase the latest in IoT innovations. In fact, there are more than a dozen sessions devoted to IoT at the conference, as well as opportunities to learn more about mobile, Smart TV, wearables, virtual reality, health & medical, and much more.

SDC will feature technical sessions, interactive workshops, keynotes and hands-on device experiences. Key IoT themes will include: interoperability between devices and applications, security and Trustonic’s Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), building a home gateway, introductory and advanced sessions with the SmartThings ecosystem, and more.

If you have yet to work with ARTIK, SDC will be a great way to get some hands-on time with the boards, and see for yourself how quickly you can get up and running with your own IoT project.

And of course there’s going to be a really great party on the evening of April 27 for everyone who attends!

Hands-on Workshop

If you want to get your hands dirty, we have a special Hands-on Workshop on “Day 0”, April 26th. The session cost is $49.00, payable when you register for SDC, and you will also need a conference pass to attend. Signup is first come, first served, which is another good reason to register early!

Win your way into SDC

You can also win your way into SDC this year by entering the Samsung Developer App Ideation Challenge. This contest is seeking “breakthrough app ideas, use cases and customer experiences” that connect mobile devices to Samsung’s newest technologies & platforms, including ARTIK.

Challenge submissions are being accepted from now to April 15, but if you get your idea in by March 25, you can receive feedback from one of our expert judges, refine your idea, and then resubmit it with any modifications that you would like to make ahead of final judging. This is your chance to bring your winning idea to life – and of course win a free trip to SDC along with a prize pack full of Samsung’s latest gear.

We hope to see you there!
